About Us

Empowering everyone in the construction industry to understand what’s in their contracts.

Our Story

Document Crunch was founded in 2019 by Josh Levy, Adam Handfinger and Adam Nadler—two lawyers and a serial businessman all with a rich history of working together.

Josh Levy, who currently serves as the CEO at Document Crunch, first earned a degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida. He then entered law school a few years later and began clerking for the preeminent construction law firm in the United States.

  • At the time he was clerking for a young partner by the name of Adam Handfinger.   After a few years of working together, Josh moved on as an in-house counsel for a construction firm in Atlanta. During this time, Josh became overwhelmed with the volume of work and deals coming across his desk in addition to the frequent questions he was receiving from project personnel day to day. He ended up reaching back out to Adam Handfinger for support. Adam and Josh started collaborating and decided there just had to be a better way for the construction industry to understand contracts.  Both Josh and Adam had a unique understanding of this problem having served as lawyers and executives for some of the biggest construction companies in the nation. This experience uniquely prepared them to understand the construction landscape and see the big problem that the industry has with understanding and managing risks in construction contracts. They were inspired and knew there had to be a better way.

The two of them began brainstorming a tech solution to solve this problem and brought in Adam Nadler for his business acumen.  Adam and Adam had worked together on some other unrelated business initiatives and understood what it would take to stand up a business.  With a vision, some grit, and plenty of late nights, Document Crunch was born!

The same founding essence of wanting to create a product that resonates with the entire construction industry is still the heart of Document Crunch today. Now with a team of over 20 employees, Document Crunch continues to build on its mission to empower everybody in the construction industry to understand what's in their contracts.
