Meet the Crunchers: Lori Peters, VP of Marketing

What is your position at Document Crunch and what do you do in your role?

I am the VP of Marketing at Document Crunch and am responsible for our overall strategic market planning and execution, brand strategy, positioning and demand generation. I work closely with all of our functional teams but especially within our revenue and go-to-market segments to support sales and customer needs. I love what I get to do every day, especially with our small but incredibly mighty marketing team. The energy, passion, and enthusiasm they bring to everything inspires me every single day.

How would your fellow employees describe you?

Let’s ask them!

“To say Lori is amazing to work with is a crazy understatement! Since the day she started, Lori has totally transformed the marketing team, bringing new perspective and innovative ideas to the table. Her impact has gone far beyond anything I could have imagined, and I am genuinely so grateful every day to work with someone so inspiring. I wholeheartedly believe that if everyone had the privilege of working with someone like Lori, the notion of jobs being the worst and disliking one's boss would no longer exist!” - Maddie Hagy

What is a surprising or fun fact about you?

I climbed to the top of Rockefeller Center (twice!) to support the MS Society and was a top fundraiser both times! In case you’re curious, it’s 1,215 step or 66 stories and I’d do it again in a heartbeat (albeit a little bit slower now).

Who or what inspires you the most?

I’m really inspired by our industry. Construction impacts every aspect of our daily lives from the homes we live in, to the schools our children attend, to the hospitals that help us, and the airports that connect us to the people and places we love. It wasn't until I started working in construction technology and had the opportunity to step onto a job site that I could really begin to appreciate the incredible feat it is to construct something where nothing was. Meeting the people who do this and being able to share their stories is one of the things I love most about what I do.

What drew you to Document Crunch?

The people (the Crunchers!) are what drew me to Document Crunch. Don’t get me wrong, the technology is insanely cool and I could see the immediate need and value it brings on my very first call with our CEO Josh. But after that first call, I had the opportunity to meet with many of the Crunchers and was just blown away by their talent and passion for what they do but moreso how welcoming everyone was before I even decided to join. My very first day was the company’s inaugural in-person meeting. CrunchFest was quite possibly the best way to be onboarded to a company and within a few hours of being there I knew I had made the best decision to join Document Crunch.

What do you like most about being a Cruncher?

I just love the community we’re building—from our team, to our customers, our partners and everyone else across the industry who are following and believe in what we’re doing. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of this. And again, the people! I can’t stress enough how much I love my fellow Crunchers and their dedication to our customers and this company.
